Q: Where can I air out my negative opinions about my cell phone contract without sounding like I'm whining?
A: You can do that here, although it is still in the testing stages. In the meantime, here's a good video of guy chucking his phone into the ocean...

Q: Why are you so hard on cell phone companies? I still have a year left on my contract and have no plans on going elsewhere when the contract expires?
A: I'm glad you are happy with your plan. First off, the steps I have created point you in the direction to keep all of the luxuries that you have with your current phone plan, add more benefits, and cut the cost by 50% or more. Secondly, who's to say that your cell company will even have locations near you in the months ahead. Take a look at the 3rd to last company on this list of 20 companies on track for bankruptcy.

Q: I have a unique scenario where I am headed to UVW country and need XYZ phone coverage?
A: Submit your question to the feedback page or email me your question and I will do my best.

Q: How do I remove a number from google voice? Keep getting duplicate texts on both Verizon phone.

A: Click 'settings' upper right hand corner, then 'Edit' phone you want to remove texts from.

Q. How do I operate a business outside of the US but still appear as though I am operating in the States
A.
  • Get a Google Voice Number
  • Get a Skype phone number located anywhere in the states ($6/mo.). Connect this to your Google Voice number for free inbound and outbound calls to and from the States. Email me if you need help with this.
  • If you need a fax number, go to metrofax.com. You can send and receive faxes from this number.
  • I also picked up a Netbook, which are exponentially better for traveling than Laptops. After a bunch of research, I selected (and have been very happy with) this one from Asus.
  • Get a local cell phone of the prepaid variety. You can pick one of these up at any mall. Connect this to your Google Voice number, and you now have a cell phone which functions seamlessly over multiple countries
Q: What can I do to avoid the early cancellation fee?
A: I would advise swearing at the customer service representative unmercifully, followed by not paying the bill they send you in the mail. If you are concerned about maintaining your credit, then try threatening the customer service rep with leaving the country, explaining that you will never pay what they ask, but that you are willing to put the payment on a credit card if the amount due is cut in half. Either way, within 2-3 months your savings will equal the cost of the termination fee.
