Top Google Voice Features

1. Set up your phone number to ring to any phone number of your choice. For example, I currently have 4 set up: 2 different prepaid cell phones (the I465 and the Flare), my work number, and my Skype number.

2. Generate personalized voice messages for each caller. I have two set up, my default work answering message, and a personal message for friends and family.

3. Screen all incoming phone calls. This is a great feature as you have the option to field incoming phone calls (i.e. pending business deals) or send them straight to voicemail (i.e. creditors), although you can still listen in on the voicemail and take the call if urgent.

4. Block certain phone numbers from calling or texting you. Ever had someone try to fax your phone number 10 times? No more.

5. Unlimited free texting from anywhere you have internet access. If your phone dies, just find someone who has internet on their phone to check your text messages. This is also great for people who like texting at work, as you are still able to maintain the appearance that you are actually working.

6. Free domestic phone calls, and very inexpensive international calling.

7. Connect this line to a local line anywhere in the world (another prepaid plan), and you will still appear to be at your original location. It generally costs about $5-$10 to activate local phone number along with the cost of putting prepaid minutes on the phone.
